Daily Expedition, the Signal, and the Spotlight Element

The Daily Expedition is the fastest free-reward loop in Soltokemons: three quick missions that reset every day, a chest for finishing them, and a streak for coming back. It lives inside the in-game Quest Journal, and it comes with two things worth understanding, the daily spotlight element and the Signal booster, which together make a great daily farming routine. This guide covers exactly what the missions are, how the chest and streak work, and how to use the Signal to farm the element of the day.

Where the Daily Expedition lives

Open the Quest Journal, the book icon in the overworld, and the Daily Expedition panel sits at the top, above your story quests. It is not a separate page or NPC; it travels with you everywhere in the game.

Everything here is server-tracked, so your progress, streak and daily reset are the same on every device you log in from. Guests can see it too, but log in with Google or a wallet if you want your streak to stick.

  • Found in the Quest Journal (book icon), above the story quests
  • Resets every day at 00:00 UTC
  • Server-tracked, so it follows your account across devices

The three daily missions

Each day you get the same three missions, and each one pays out on its own. They are deliberately quick, the kind of thing you clear in a few minutes of normal play, and you do not have to do them in order.

  • Win 3 wild battles, for coins
  • Catch 1 creature with a Capture Net, for coins plus a Net
  • Visit the day's target zone, for coins plus a Lure. The zone rotates daily among Solana City, the Black Forest, Degen Beach, the Verdant Path, the Solana Ruins and the Hospital.

The Expedition Chest and your streak

Finish all three missions and the Expedition Chest unlocks: 160 coins and an EXP Candy (a +15% XP boost). You claim each mission and the chest from the panel.

Claiming the chest on consecutive days builds a streak, shown as a badge next to the panel title. Miss a day and the streak resets, so the real reward for showing up daily is the streak plus the coins and candies that compound over time.

The spotlight element

Every day, one battle element is the spotlight. It is deterministic and cycles through all the elements, so over time each type gets its turn. You can see today's spotlight type on the Daily Expedition panel.

The spotlight matters because of the Signal: the day's element is the one the game steers your wild encounters toward when the Signal is running, which also makes the daily catch mission easier to knock out.

The Signal: a free daily encounter booster

The Signal is a free booster you start once per day from the panel. When active it runs for 15 minutes, and during that window about 1 in 3 of your wild encounters becomes the spotlight element. It works in tall grass and out in the sea.

One important detail: the Signal only changes the ELEMENT of the wild you meet, never its level or which species show up, and it does not raise your catch odds. You still weaken the wild and use a Capture Net as usual. It just changes what type keeps appearing.

Think of it as the free cousin of a Lure. A Lure raises how OFTEN you run into wilds; the Signal biases WHICH element they are. The two stack, so a Lure plus the Signal is the fastest way to farm one specific element.

  • Free, once per day, lasts 15 minutes
  • About 1 in 3 wild encounters becomes the spotlight element
  • Works in grass and at sea; biases the element only, not level or catch odds
  • Stacks with a Lure, which raises the encounter rate

How to use the Signal well

The Signal is at its best when the spotlight element is one you actually want. Use it to clear the daily catch mission in one sitting, to grab a type you are missing for a matchup, or to farm that element's drops.

If you are into the Forge economy, the Signal is a fast way to gather an element's Essences and Gems and the upgrade materials that drop from element-matching wilds. Line up a Lure, fire the Signal, and spend the 15 minutes in the right zone.
